about events at Athol Hall

Dear valued clients and guests,

Our work is devoted to bringing people together for beautiful events and celebrations and for important business events. We take great pride in working to deliver our customers the very best experience in our extraordinary venues around Sydney.

At present we have been impacted by the new guidelines regarding indoor gatherings of over 100 people imposed by the Australian Government and the Chief Medical Officer.

We take our duty of care seriously and will continue to provide safe and clean environments for everyone in our community – our staff, our suppliers,  our guests and importantly, our valued clients.

We are working with each of our clients to accommodate their individual requirements if their events are going to be impacted by the protocols announced by the Prime Minister on 18 March – or any that may follow.

The volume of inquiries has been enormous – we assure you that if you have been in touch with us we will get back to you as soon as possible. We are currently prioriting those events with the shortest lead-time and progressively working through all others.

We are working with our many clients with existing bookings who wish to defer them to another date.

And we are also taking new bookings for later in 2020 and in 2021.

These are extraordinary times – challenging in every way.

We have introduced additional cleaning and sanitation in all areas of our venues – both back of house and in the public areas. Any staff Members who are returning from overseas are required to remain at home for 14 days and have a Doctor’s Certificate which clears them to return to work.

At present, the following venues continue to operate: Campbell’s Stores, 12-Micron, Athol Hall, Orso Bayside, Cropley House, The Woodland at Harrington Grove.

Harrington’s Bar and Grill and Athol Hall Café have been closed temporarily.

Our websites and social media channels will be updated regularly as the COVID-19 situation evolves.

Hi Lauren,

Fabulous Wedding Venue!!

Located in Mosman with stunning views over Sydney Harbour, Athol Hall is a perfect wedding venue. The service is excellent, food outstanding and the Sydney climate allows full advantage to be taken of the grounds as well. Just be careful of low flying helicopters during the vows! Highly recommended

Hi Jane,

You don’t know us, but we got married at Athol Hall on Saturday.

I wanted to send you a quick note to let you know how wonderful Lauren has been to us. We had the most magical day, and I truly believe it was all down to Lauren and the great lengths she went to to ensure the planning, execution and delivery of the event was just perfect.

From the very first time we met her, she has had such a ‘can do’ attitude. Nothing was too hard for her. She bent over backwards for us to ensure we had every aspect covered. Even on the night of the wedding when one person failed to show up and another who had previously told us they couldn’t make it turned up, she was arranging for place settings to be moved to accommodate our guests.

She has been in constant and regular communication. She ensured all the i’s were dotted and t’s were crossed. Three nights before the wedding when we didn’t have a florist, Lauren was on the phone to me (at 8pm) getting floral quotes from her contact and setting up phone calls for me – which is completely beyond the job description.

The day of the wedding, Lauren was down at Athol Hall beach ensuring that the path was clean and there was no rubbish dumped and she put up signs for us, which was, once again, completely beyond her roles and responsibilities.

We haven’t stopped raving about Lauren since the moment we met her, and it was important to me that you knew what a talented and enthusiastic lady you have working for you.

We will be forever grateful for the lengths Lauren went to to ensure we had the most magical day.

Sandor, Mohammad and the whole team at Athol have been so warm, friendly and helpful as well.

We will really miss your team. They have become part of the family through this whole process.

Both my sister and I (and everyone who attended our mother’s wake) were very impressed with everything at Athol Hall. Everything ran perfectly smoothly. The staff were all lovely and a delight. The food and drinks were plentiful and delicious. I am so pleased that I thought to see if Athol Hall was available at such short notice.  We couldn’t have chosen a better position, as it is just around the corner from where my parents lived and we grew up, in Burrawong Ave, Clifton Gardens. We used to have Sunday school picnics on the lawn in front of the hall as children, and often used to be found in the bush down the front on New Year’s Eve getting a good vantage point for the fireworks. I am so pleased that the hall has been done up so well and is being enjoyed by many.

Lauren, you were a pleasure to deal with and you arranged things perfectly for us. That took a lot of stress out of the overall organising for the day’s events. It was such a relief to arrive at the hall, away from the sorrow of the crematorium. Thank you and all your staff so very much. We will certainly call in, at least for a coffee, if not a meal next time we are in Sydney.

Athol Hall: To get a new lease on life!

Athol Hall is set to become the premier event destination with the unveiling of a new refurbishment restoring the venue to its former splendour.

Commissioned by Christopher Drivas, Managing Director of leading events and hospitality firm Dockside Group, Athol Hall will re-open in mid-October 2017. Catering for up to 130 seated guests and 200 standing, Athol Hall will be the premier venue on Sydney’s North Shore with its iconic feature of the harbour-side landscape and bridge views.

Placed within the National Park at Bradley’s Head Mosman, the interior and gardens have been designed by internationally renowned designer Angela Neylon, from Joanne Green Landscape and Interior. The venue will feature timber floors, white finishes and French Oak Louis dining chairs.

With capabilities to host a diverse range of events event’s including conferences, business events, weddings and private celebrations, Athol Hall will offer event organisers an exciting new option.

Under the guidance of Executive Chef Adam Birtles, Athol Hall will present decadent meals to enhance any event. The menu has been designed to bring diners on a journey, exploring different cuts, textures and preparations. Featuring home-made dishes “Beetroot cured ocean trout, lime crème fraiche, pickled beetroot, house made fennel seed flatbread & baby watercress” or “Chick pea gnocchi, sauté mushroom, red capsicum, baby spinach & crisp fried chick peas”.

The Café will operate as of mid-October 2017 and will showcase dishes such as “House made crumpets with grilled buffalo mozzarella, rosemary & honey” for breakfast or “Cone bay Barramundi, eggplant puree, asparagus, green olive & almond tapenade” for lunch.
Take away options for those visiting the Park will also be available.
